PROFESSOR OF PASTORAL STUDIES

Heritage Theological Seminary (Cambridge, Ontario) invites applications and nominations for a position as Professor of Pastoral Studies. The position will begin in the summer of 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applicants must have a positive record of pastoral ministry, a passion for equipping others to do such ministry, and appropriate educational background including normally an M.Div. degree and a Th.D./Ph.D. or D.Min. The position will entail teaching a variety of courses in the practice of ministry, helping students assess their readiness for ministry, giving leadership to occasional conferences dealing with preaching and ministry leadership, and perhaps giving academic oversight to ministry internships. Applicants must affirm the Seminary's connection to the FEB Central region of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada, and must be willing to sign an evangelical Baptist statement of faith. Preference will be given to citizens and permanent residents of Canada. ACADEMIC DEAN

Heritage Theological Seminary (Cambridge, Ontario) invites applications and nominations for the position of Academic Dean. The appointment will be effective July 1, 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The Dean will teach in his area of expertise and will give general oversight to the faculty and the academic programs of the Seminary. Applicants will normally hold a research doctorate and have previous experience in theological education. Heritage Seminary is in a rebuilding mode at this time, and this position offers the opportunity to creatively shape a seminary that will equip students to teach, lead and advance gospel-driven churches for the 21st century.
