Re"Wire"Ment

People - Bruno, Mario and RuthMario Bruno won’t use the expected “R” word. After three decades of service in Rome, Italy with Fellowship International, he and his wife, Rose, deserve to retire and put their feet up. Nothing doing! The Brunos began pastoral ministry at Park Lawn Baptist Church in Toronto on July 2015. The following are among the many expressions of appreciation for their ministry:

Thank you Mario and Rose for your faithful and fruitful service for the Lord in Italy. I have sat in the homes of elders and leaders of the churches you planted, knowing you have entrusted to faithful disciples the work of continuing to advance the Gospel in Rome. Thank God for the legacy you have left which will continue for generations.”

—Steve and Marilyn Jones, President, The Fellowship

It has been wonderful to journey with you as you have faithfully served the Lord, raised your children in the knowledge of Christ, and shared with us yourselves. We love you.”

—Dave and Donna Marttunen, Fellowship International Director

…Thank you for being examples of faith, generosity, and kindness. How we loved sharing life together — loving Italians through music, sharing our families, thirty years of ministry… a lifetime of watching God bring together what He designed for you. Congratulations! A Dio Sia La Gloria. Con affeto.”

—Alice and Daniel Simmons, ministry partners in Rome for 30 years

Mario and Rose, you’ve been diligent and faithful workers in planting God’s Word in the sometimes difficult Italian soil! Your ‘Garlic Press’ newsletters cause much prayer and rejoicing as you shared the many struggles, blessings, and triumphs of your ministry. TENTE GRAZIE! The Lord is faithful!”

—Rocco and Renee Liscio, long-standing supporters of the Brunos

“…You two have achieved Fellowship royalty status — ‘hall of fame’ all the way! What a privilege to have visited the church in Rome. Your service for the Lord continues to impact lives around the globe. Congratulations on this milestone and no, you’re NOT done yet. Dio riccamente vi benedica!”

—Bob Flemming, FEB Central Regional Director
