Our New FAIR Associate Director

Norman has been serving the Fellowship for over 40 years — first as a missionary, and most recently as part of our National staff. Originally from BC, Norman was appointed to missionary service in Colombia with the Fellowship’s Foreign Mission Board in 1975. A year later, he married his wife, Donna, and they took up service in Colombia, where Norman was involved in leadership training before assuming the role of field director, a position he held for ten years. The Nielsen family grew with the addition of three children (Pilar, Chantel and Chris), and in 1994 they returned to Canada where Norman joined the National staff team as Coordinator of Administration for FEB International (now Fellowship International). On September 1st, Norman transitioned into his new role as Associate Director of FAIR (Fellowship Aid and International Relief ). In his new position, Norman is responsible for managing FAIR’s emergency and ongoing humanitarian relief and social endeavour projects from initial approval to the follow-up stage. Norman can be reached by email.
