The Church in the Community in FEB CENTRAL

When it comes to church planting in the FEB Central region there is much to say, but here is a peek at what’s happening in two of our newest church plants.

Churches - Liberty Grace logoLiberty Grace Church Situated in the shadow of the CN Tower, Liberty Village is Toronto’s fastest-growing community. With 143% growth since 2006, it is expected that there will soon be nearly 7,000 more new residents. There are no existing churches. God has laid this community on the heart of Darryl and Charlene Dash. Darryl is currently building a prayer support team, a financial support team, and a launch team.

Churches - waterford baptist logoWaterford Community Church Located in the heart of rural Southern Ontario, Waterford draws thousands of people to its fall festival, Pumpkin Fest. Central Baptist Church in Brantford saw the need for a new church in this neighbouring community and began a satellite ministry. In the past year the plant has come of age and has been released to become an autonomous local church. The congregation has purchased their own facility (a former elementary school with 10 acres of land). They have hired Joshuwa Staats to be their pastor and are applying a missional strategy, the church in the community, to reach Waterford for Christ. The congregation has doubled. As well, they are preparing for their official recognition as a Fellowship church.
