M.K. becomes President of YFC International
On April 15th, 2013, the Board of Trustees of Youth for Christ International, announced the appointment of Geordon Rendle as YFCI’s new President/CEO. This appointment will take effect on January 1, 2014.
Geordon is the oldest son of Don and the late Georgia Rendle, who served with Fellowship International in Colombia for many years and then later ministered with Prison Fellowship throughout Latin America. Geordon and his brother, Andy, grew up in Medellin, Colombia.
Geordon, along with his wife, Marilyn, worked in Caracas, Venezuela, with FI and YFCI until Geordon’s appointment as Director of YFCI for Latin America, with his base of operation in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Geordon is a third-generation YFCer and has been with the movement for over 20 years. Prior to his overseas service, Geordon was a police officer in British Columbia where he, Marilyn, and their four children currently make their home. The Rendles will be moving to Denver, Colorado in September 2013 to begin the transition into this new position.
